Lucy Revill from ‘The Residents’ a Wellington based blogger and Social Media Influencer, wanted to celebrate her blog reaching the 2-year mark by refining her existing brand to better reflect her evolved journey.
I was tasked with creating a new logo for Lucy, refreshing her media kit and website. The refined brand identity needed to better tell the story of Lucy’s journey and provide greater insights into what ‘The Residents’ meant to Lucy and her large audience. I was able to achieve this through refining fonts, creating a new colour palette and updating imagery and applying this to her media kit. The refined media kit included more breathing space so that all key information was prominent. Lastly, I refined Lucy’s website by pairing the content back, including the new logo, refined page titles - ensuring they were more concise, moved social icons to the top fold along with the inclusion of a series of rotating photographs to make her website more interactive and that reflect all things ‘The Residents’. I included titles on the homepage to enhance the user experience (easy navigation) and updated fonts. Lastly, I injected the refined colour palette into her website design.
